I can't do anything on my own. But even so, there's no way I can just sit here and do nothing. PERSONALITY On the surface, Higuchi may come across as pleasant and polite. She tends to hold the people around her at a certain distance, sometimes with an almost cold professionalism. Much of this is due to her job as as assassin with the Port Mafia. Higuchi has no qualms about committing murder, and makes a point not to show sympathy towards her targets. She's proud to work with the Mafia, even though she believes she's not well-suited for it. Impulsive and easily rattled, Higuchi struggles with self-worth and has a tendency to doubt herself and her choices. Outside of work, she's very easily frazzled, and may overreact when tensions are running high. Despite this, she's extremely dedicated and not the sort of person to just give up without a fight. Even when facing impossible odds, she'll do whatever she can to protect the things that are important to her. Of those things, the most important is arguably her sempai, Akutagawa, who she is obsessed with. Anything that involves him tends to result in far more exaggerated emotions and reactions, as he's both the object of her affection, and the reason she's chosen to stick with the mafia as long as she has. This is likely to be the case for her anytime romantic feelings become involved, and to rely on anime terminology: she's just a lil' bit yandere. ABILITIES Unlike pretty much every other character in the series, Higuchi does not possess a supernatural ability. Although there has been a single mention by the author with regards to her having one, it's never come up again. As such, as I play her as simply not having one, but will avoid going into too much detail over it just in case canon decides to joss me in the future. Outside of this, she's extremely proficient with firearms and is good at acting a role to fool others when the need arises. She can be a bit too quick to start shooting and has issues with restraint when she's angry, which can be a danger given she's always armed. JIKAN In Jikan, Higuchi was gifted a Kizuna-powered Katana, which changes color based on her mood and has a secondary side effect where the blade glows when held upside down. Due to the nature of the blade being Kizuna powered, it will never shatter or grow dull. She was gifted Kaze magic by Gojira's blessing, and casts spells using her sword as a tool. She is skilled enough to be able to cast any pure-Kaze spell the first time she sees it. Since then, she has become highly skilled in Mizu magic, and has just started learning Hi magic. The former allows her to perform blood-based healing, while the later can only provide some extra oomph to her bullets. EXTRA She lived with her younger sister back in Yokohama. In keeping true to the IRL Higuchi, her sister is the far more mature of the two and manages most of their house affairs, while Higuchi hides the fact that she's working for the mafia to support them. At this time, her sister is not in Nippon, but I plan to bring her in as an auxiliary character in the future. Prior to coming to Nippon, Higuchi was a virgin who had never even been kissed, and had an obvious-to-everyone-but-the-object-of-her-affection crush on her sempai. BUNGO STRAY DOGS SPOILERS At her present canon point, she believes she was killed by Akutagawa when he was transformed into a vampire post-death and attacked her. She's still incredibly shaken by this, given this moment was what she was forced to relive nine times. Because of it, she's more stand-offish about Akutagawa, and will react poorly if someone tries to bite or kiss her neck.
